Digital inclusion is a part of social inclusion

Exclusion from the digital society is mostly experienced by those who are older, poorer, and low-skilled. But setting up training courses may not be enough to fill the gap: motivation to learn is the first thing that should be considered and barriers such as lack of interest, lack of trust, fear of harm should be dealt with, with the help of the community and its organisations.

The New Manifesto for digital inclusion by Digital Agenda explains why digital inclusion should be part of all policy, all business activity, and all social action.
