Digital training for inmates in Portugal
The Portuguese Protocol Centre for Justice (CPJ) has promoted a digital skills training programme for people deprived of freedom to reintegrate into the labour market. The pilot test of the Social Project for Training of Inmates in the digital area has been implemented in the penal institution of Leiria and the aim of the CPJ is to extend the project to other correctional centres and penal institutions.
The project has been developed out in partnership with Cisco Portugal, who are going to deliver for free two training courses, one on cyber-security and one on digital literacy and social media.
