Geolocating digital fragility zones on a territory: presentation of the Digital Fragility Index

In response to the need of many local players to be able to geolocate, on a large or small scale, the digital fragility areas of a territory, the Prefecture of the Occitanie region (France), within the framework of the Incub’O programme to support digital transformation, has developed a digital fragility index with the support of the Agence nouvelle des solidarités actives (ANSA) and in partnership with the national cooperative of digital mediation Mednum.

The Digital Fragility Index is a tool for decision support and mobilisation of digital inclusion stakeholders in their territory, allowing public institutions, local authorities, public service operators and State services to obtain a projection of the areas at risk of digital fragility in a territory and to identify and categorise areas of digital fragility according to different criteria.

The Digital Fragility Index will be presented in a webinar on Friday 3rd July at 9:00 along with the experience of two pioneering local authorities that have implemented it: Sicoval and the La Rochelle urban community.
