The Manchester City Community Response Hub helps vulnerable residents get digital
Manchester City Council has launched a new initiative to help vulnerable residents to use digital technology during the coronavirus pandemic.
Volunteers with experience in providing digital support will provide telephone assistance on any technology-related issues to residents who have internet access at home, but who are not able to use the web confidently, as part of the service provided by the Council’s Community Response Hub.
This service will help people with the basics such as switching a device on and off, and with any other activity that can be done online such as searching for information, accessing public services, booking GP appointments, staying connected with family and friends.
