Strofi Web-Radio
Strofi Web-radio gives to beneficiaries the opportunity to broaden their horizons to future work prospects in the field of sound engineering, recording and radio broadcasting, having enriched to the utmost the quality of digital life. It also enables them to express themselves in a new creative way.
Abstract
The adolescents/young adults, approaching KETHEA STROFI (a therapeutic program of KETHEA, which provides a comprehensive network of services for adolescent/young adults drug users and their families) for drug addiction therapy, are included in the eligible social group of marginalized youth with limited education and training opportunities, also lucking of certain skills such as digital and social – communicative competences.
At KETHEA STROFI, apart from the therapeutic practices, non-formal education courses addressed to the members of the program, as a part of their preparation to rehabilitation phase. Radio and music are the basic vehicles to achieve:
• Competence and skills improvement in specific learning objectives such as: digital competence, due to the increased access of internet and the acquired basic knowledge on sound engineering, improving digital literacy and enriching the quality of digital life generally
• Team- work insights
• Leverage of the experience gained for plans for future career.
One of the communicative vehicles of KETHEA STROFI is the Strofi Web-radio. A free radio that respects diversity. It becomes the voice of youth, of active citizens and of social entities, in order to be transformed to an on-line community of open expression and communication.

The web-radio is hosted in STROFI’s studio; an environment with up to-date technological equipment able to carry out the most demanding professional recordings.
In the frame of this context, web radio STROF runs by the beneficiaries of KETHEA STROFI, under the supervision of an instructor specialized in radio broadcasting.

I have seen the great result of using STROFI webradio and music band as a tool for drug addiction treatment on my own son, together with the other teenagers that are trying hard to take back their lives. They learn new ways of thinking and through the radio they adopt a knowledge that it was almost impossible to meet before.
